• Envelopes can be reused placing a label over the address. Remember that the plastic window on envelopes cannot be recycled.
• When wrapping presents, use string / wool rather than sticky tape to tie, as these materials can be reused.
• If you have any of last years Christmas/birthday, cut them up and make them into gift tags.
• On those special occasions, don't rip open those beautifully wrapped presents. Carefully remove the paper and use again for wrapping up presents, flower bouquets and wine bottles, making decorations or even covering books.
• Any scrap vegetables left over, place in your home compost bin or (if food) in your wheelie bin for green waste (if accepted by your district council) so that it is composted.
• Always think about ways in which you can continue to reduce, reuse and recycle more.
